Aussie Spirit

 

Concept Unit

During term 3 Aussie Spirit learnt about fairy tales. We read a variety of stories based on the same tale and engaged in conversations to deepen our understanding of the elements of fairy tales. As part of our studies, we completed fairy tale themed art and STREAM challenges in literacy groups. In writing, we have been learning how to edit our work before we publish.

Numeracy

This term Aussie Spirit engaged with rich tasks in mathematics. In small groups they read and solved open-ended word problems. They are learning to rely on their knowledge of concepts taught and the resources available to solve the problems. Students converse with and support each other to find one or more of the possible answers.
