Extra-curricular activities

Llandilo Public School offers extra-curricular activities for students to better themselves and enjoy their time spent at school.

Creative And Performing Arts

Throughout the year our dedicated teachers form different performance groups to participate in local festivals. These groups include Junior and Senior Choir, as well as Junior and Senior Dance.

Dance

Llandilo Public School offers a junior dance group for students in Years 1 to 3, and a senior dance group for students in Years 4 to 6. Students participating in dance group attend lunch time dance lessons twice a week. Lessons run for most of the school year during which time students learn and rehearse a dance routine.

Each year, the dance group performs at various assemblies and important celebrations throughout our school as well as at festivals, including the Cranebrook Learning and Performing Arts Festival and the Blue Mountains Nepean Dance Festival held at the Joan Sutherland Centre. Dance group promotes health and wellbeing while developing students’ co-ordination, concentration, focus, communication, creative expression and teamwork through co-operation.

Choir

At Llandilo Public School we offer a junior choir for students in Kindergarten to Year 2 and a senior choir for students in Years 3 to 6. Students work hard rehearsing songs together at lunch time once a week. Students are provided opportunities to perform at assemblies and special events, such as the Biggest Morning Tea.

PSSA

Students at Llandilo have the opportunity to participate in Sport Gala Days each term. We encourage all students to participate, show good sportsmanship and have fun. Some of the Gala Days include netball, cricket, basketball and soccer.
PSSA also offers students the opportunity to trial for representative teams in a variety of sports; including netball, cricket, rugby league, touch football, AFL, Oztag and hockey.
