Reading Groups

In the Gliders we love reading groups! We enjoy learning new things and consolidating our understanding of concepts we have looked at throughout the week. Some of our favourite activities include Math Loose Parts, STEM projects and word work!  

Numeracy

Gliders have been working hard to improve their Mathematical skills. This week we have been looking at improving our understanding of ascending and descending order. We started with a Number Talk that made our brains sweat! During our learning activities we spent some time placing numbers in ascending and descending order with blocks, paper, cups and paddle pop sticks. At the end of the learning session, Miss Wilson gave us a challenge! We were given a number that we would need to place on a number line, the catch was we needed to work out the right order without talking!
