Opals

Literacy Groups

In Opals, we have word work activities, writing, grammar, number sense and reading activities that we complete during our literacy groups. During guided reading, we practise the strategies we have learnt in the earlier years of school and take on different roles to deepen our understanding and comprehension of texts. As we become more confident readers, we are exploring a range of texts such as poetry, novels and plays.
